We were very impressed with Casa Tonio. The house has been refurbished to a high spec and is beautifully laid out and equipped. The large pool, situated in an olive grove really makes the house as so many holiday properties have such small ones. In this one you can swim proper lengths. It is very conveniently located for Lucca and Pisa and you can walk to the local village for a meal in the evening opposite the church.
Two small things that we would have liked included better local restaurant info. The house book lists some out but they could be hit or miss in terms of quality. If there was a guest book where past guests could leave recommendations, I think it would be helpful to future guests. And the second thing was kitchen equipment. We cooked a lot. The house needs smaller pans, better cutlery, particularly sharp knives. But if you don’t cook, this won’t bother you.
We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Casa Tonio to anyone looking for a relaxing, high quality holiday in Tuscany. We’d like to thank the owners.

lo posizione è invidiabile perchè al tempo stesso è isolata e tranquilla ma vicino all'autostrada A1 e la superstrada siena-bettole che consentono di visitare agilmente molte mete di turismo sia in toscana che umbria. Purtroppo la gestione da la sensazione di essere al "risparmio" e trascurata nei dettagli: allestimenti degli apparatamenti eccessivamente minimalista (nella permanenza si avverte la carenza stoviglie, utensili da cucina; mobilio) invece del box (molto piu funzionale e pratico) c'è una tenda da doccia strappata e che non chiude neanche bene e causa allagamento del bagno, mancanza di zanzariere alle finestre, vasi di adornamento degli spazi comuni rotti o secchi non sostituiti, piante non adeguatamente potate che intralciano i passaggi. molto grave invece già dal secondo giorno di permanenza la presenza di alghe in piscina che praticamente ne hanno precluso un utilizzo per tutto il soggiorno. in alternativa non ci è stata proposta alcuna forma di rimborso ne dai proprietari ne da voi agenzia. in sostanza va bene solo come appoggio ma senza molte pretese; sicuramente si può trovare di meglio... peccato perchè poteva essere un posto in cui tornare.
[contro commento da parte dai gestori] abbiamo saputo del problema della piscina il giorno della partenza del cliente, dopo che aveva lasciato la struttura. Siamo subito intervenuti ed il problema è stato risolto dal proprietario. Se ci avesse avvertito del problema durante il suo soggiorno saremmo di certo intervenuti prima; siamo dispiaciuti per questo inconveniente ma al momento non possiamo fare niente per questo cliente.
A lovely property in beautiful surroundings. The views are stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful. It had everything we needed for our 4 day visit whilst we explored Florence,Pisa and Siena.
A lovely place, very nice hosts we had a great time in the cottage by the pool specially when we had the pool for ourselves in the evenings. (The only little inconvenient, quite loud during day time with young guests in the pool)
A 20 minutes de Lucca, magnifique propriété traditionnelle pleine de charme parfaitement équipée dans un cadre somptueux et à la vue non moins idyllique. C'est vraiment beau. Jardin arboré avec beaucoup de goût et très bien entretenu. Piscine très agréable d'1,50 m de profondeur sur toute la longueur. Si vous êtes plutôt amateur de contemporain.. passez votre chemin. Quoique vous passerez très certainement le plus clair de votre temps à l'extérieur pour les repas ou encore pour lire à l'ombre des oliviers ou sous la tonnelle au bout de la piscine. La déco devient alors tout à fait accessoire.
Attention toutefois aux moustiques qui sévissent dans la région. Les chambres sont toutes équipées de moustiquaires, mais prenez néanmoins des précautions supplémentaires.
Et vous pourrez vous approvisionner en huile d'olive et en vin de table à l'agriturismo qui se trouve à côté.
Quelques bémols (literie à revoir dans certaines chambres, une cabine de douche qui mériterait un petit rafraichissement et une route un peu passante tôt le matin) qui, selon nous, sont toutefois mineurs par rapport à la beauté du site.

It is really nice. Garden sported with a lot of taste and very well maintained. Swimming pool very nice 1.50 m deep along the entire length. If you are a contemporary lover, go your way. Although you will certainly spend most of your time outdoors for meals or reading in the shade of olive trees or under the arbor at the end of the pool. The decor becomes completely incidental.
Be careful, however, of mosquitoes in the area. The rooms are all equipped with mosquito nets, but take extra precautions.
And you can stock up on olive oil and wine at the agriturismo next door.
Some small issues (bedding to update in some rooms, a shower that deserves a little update and a busy road early in the morning) which, in our opinion, are minor compared to the beauty of the site.
It was a very nice stay at this house. The owner was very friendly and everything worked out fine.
