The Villa was extremely nice and had all the luxuries of home. Plenty of room for 3 couples (we were 2 couples). Very comfortable beds with nice AC to keep you cool on the very warm nights. Very quiet and pool was amazing. Views are spectacular. Great working with Easy Reserve. Very responsive and helpful. The only issue we had and it was a major one.....the abutting property has 3 dogs and they start barking and howling around 2:30 in the morning every night. If you are a light sleeper....this is not the place for you. There were several sleepless nights I am afraid.
Really enjoyed our stay at Antico Mulino. It was worth every Euro. The pool is grand and all amenities are present. Nearest village is Palazzo del Pero (5 min away) where you can purchase basic amenities and eat excellent pizza.
Sehr schönes Haus, geräumig und alles da was man braucht. Wunderschön gelegen. Die Zufahrtsstraße (ca. 1km) ist allerdings nur eine Staub/Schotterstraße mit ziemlichen Unebenheiten.
We had a fabulous stay in this friendly village. The apartment was really lovely. Everyone should stay here! The dinner was the high-light of the visit. Irene was very helpful. It was nice to stay in a small family run apartment, as it had all the personal touches.
Property was beautiful. Very restful 3 days. If you want to experience staying in a piece of history and beauty this is the place. Make sure when you book during the summer months you request an apartment with a/c. We did and were very grateful since it was 96 degrees while we were there.
Wunderschöne Lage mitten im Ort, trotzdem ruhig, da Terrasse und Pool Blick in die Toskana haben. Haus ist komplett eingerichtet, war bei unserer Ankunft sauber, riesige Terrasse, relativ kleiner Pool, sehr erfrischend, trotz warmer Temperaturen. Klimaanlage kostet extra, was bei dem teuren Wochenpreis inklusive sein sollte. Endreinigung mit 150 Euro steht in keinem Preisleistungsverhältnis.
Bei Ankunft eine Flasche Wasser und etwas Brot vorhanden, das haben wir in der Toscana bei einem anderen Anbieter ganz anders erlebt. Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Wein, Schinken, Käse sowie frischen Obst und Gemüse, Brot sowie einer nicht angebrochenen Flasche Olivenöl und Balsamicoessig. Eine sehr nette Geste von unserem Schlüsselübergeber und Ansprechpartner, dass er uns zur Begrüßung in seiner Weinstube einen Prosecco ausgegeben hat und bei der Abreise eine schöne Flasche Rotwein.
Fantastic secluded property! We were a family of 10 from Norway and we had the best time! The Owner is a great guy and the staff and cook as well. I really recommend this villa. No neighbors, no noise; - you are on your own :-)
Our family of 10 stayed at the villa between July 2-9/16. The villa has an excellent location, very close to Florence. It has a beautiful pool. Eric, who manages the property was very helpful and attentive to our needs and is very accessible as he lives next door. It is a large villa with lots of character. While the villa is generally tidy it could use a deep cleaning. Also the villa has very little air circulation upstairs, and though there were ceiling fans they didn't seem powerful enough to help with air movement. A positvie that wasn't mentioned on the villa profile is that there is a bus stop nearby that will take you into Florence, which is great because you don't want to drive in Florence if you don't have to. The villa has a great outdoor eating area that is covered from the rain/sun. Overall we had a great week in San Carlo.
