Calcinaio has been beautifully and artfully restored and we had a very comfortable stay. Home-made jam, a bottle of wine and a magnificent bowl of tomatoes awaited us on arrival. There is a little traffic noise and the driveways take a bit of manouvering but the quality of the property overrides all of this. Turn the fountain on and relax out by the pool with a good drink!

Superb little rustic villa on hill top. Panoramic wonderful views of surrounding hills and San Gimi, from bedrooms and from pool. Excellent location, few Km from San Gimi and easy to get to other nearby towns. Very friendly and helpful owners. There if you needed them but left you alone if you didn't. We had a wonderful time and would consider booking the villa again.

This is a well kept villa, in a stunningly beautiful area with an excellent private swimming pool. The owners are friendly and unobtrusive, the local town/city of Volterra is as good as it gets and the property is within an hour of Pisa, Florence and Siena - if you can drag yourself away from the pool!

The owners were very hospitable and made our stay very enjoyable. A bigger pool would have been nice but it suited our purposes and allowed us to cool down in the heat.

Fabulous spacious villa close to San Gimignano with pleasing grounds, tennis court and swimming pool, both floodlit. Super bedrooms and modern bathrooms. Only slight let down is that the kitchen is a bit small and poorly lit.

We've just come back from a week at Glicini 2 and it was wonderful. The apartment was extremely clean and well stocked (washing machine, dishwasher, iron, etc) and tastfully furnished. Great private outdoor area. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

WOW! Beyond a shadow of a doubt Sergio and Stephano and Villa Fabbroni were the absolute highlights of our amazing trip to Italy. Hosts with hearts of gold, they went above and beyond the gold standard to assist us in all of our local travel plans as well as emergency assistance when our car broke down. Thank you so much for the amazing vacation and the best food in all of Italy. We highly recommend their weekend restaurant. The Bruschetta alone is worth the trip. The villa itself was enormous and beyond reproach. Thank you for the best of times and the incredible accomodations! Your graciousness and lovely home were a memory for a lifetime. Small but comfortable villa in breaktaking scenery with a beautiful pool. We particularly enjoyed the barbeque pit and eating by the pool. The owners were friendly and helpful and overall this was a very enjoyable place to stay.

This is a very relaxing, beatiful place.The photos didn't do it juctice.
The garden is huge and very well maintained.
The owners take great pride in this villa and it shows.
In my opinion it is the right size for a couple but no more.
Be prepared for the journey to the top of the mounatin to get to the villa but if isolation, quiet and gorgeous views are what you are after yo have come to the right place.
