Fantastisch huis, ruim en prachtige tuin. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst van eigenaar die we bijna iedere dag hebben gezien en aan wie we al onze vragen kwijkt konden. We hebben twee mooie weken gehad, we waren met 9 mensen. Als we de kans krijgen gaan we zeker nog een keer terug.

Very friendly welcome from the owner whom we've seen almost every day, and to whom we could ask all our questions. We had two great weeks, we were 9 people. If we get the chance we will definitely be back again.
Non vorrei essere troppo enfatico, per non togliere il gusto a chi mi leggerà, ma il nostro soggiorno è stato proprio fantastico. Il posto è incantevole, l'arredo di gusto ma semplice, il paesaggio drammatico come sa esserlo la conformazione delle meravigliose colline toscane. Olio squisito, vino un po' meno. Cortesia e discrezione. Firenze vicina. Ne è valsa la pena.
We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf! De omgeving en t uitzicht zijn geweldig, het huis heel sfeervol en ruim! Het enige minpuntje is het meubilair in de living, als t onverhoopt slecht weer is, zit je niet echt lekker binnen. Verder prima! Houd rekening met t feit dat er extra betaald moet worden voor t gasverbruik, wij hadden prachtig warm weer, maar als je de hele week moet stoken kan t aardig oplopen.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We very much enjoyed our stay! The surroundings and the views are great, the house very cozy and spacious! The only downside is the furniture in the living room, if it is unexpectedly bad weather, the living room is not so comfortable. The rest is fine! Consider the fact that the heating is payable extra, we had beautiful warm weather, but if you must heat the house the whole week it can be expensive.
We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Le Gollazzole and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to base their Tuscany vacation. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful and the property is pristine. Guido is an excellent host -- friendly, helpful and smart about ways to help guests get the most out of their vacation (Thank you, Guido). The units and the grounds are impeccably maintained and, of course, excellent wine is available on site. The location is convenient to many of Tuscany's sights but is best for those with access to a vehicle since it is several miles outside Siena although bus & taxi service is available. The website information and descriptions accurately reflect the offerings at Le Gollozzole. We would not hesitate to stay there again on a return trip to Tuscany.
The villa itself was very nice and well designed (but not well maintained). Regretfully, this is the one and only good thing to say about the villa.
The location is about 1.5km outside the nearest village (on a dirt road). Hard to access and simply nothing to do around it. Location is always a subjective issue. If you are looking for a very quiet and insulated place, it can be nice to you.
In addition, the villa has about 10 taps, but not even one of them gives a smooth water flow. All of them gives splashes and/or very weak water flow.
The owner was very kind. She helped us with navigation, finding a supermarket and more.
Despite this, owner is a really miser and really greedy. nothing is included. Almost everything is an "extra".
There were many many hidden costs:
- 120€ for final cleaning (while usually 50-60€ in other properties, if any)
- 49€ for using the gas for few days
- 25€ for a small dates-change only few days after the booking and few months prior to the arrival date
- 22€ taxes
- 20€ for the Wi-Fi password (!!!) while everyone gives it for free nowadays
- The owner asked for 500€ deposit, while 250€ written in the voucher (We didn't pay it)
The entire garden is completely dark at night ("Because electricity is very expensive"). Upon arrival, we brought our bags from the car using the smartphone's led like thieves... The owner took me to the gas meter to read it (because it also "not included") in a complete darkness using the smartphone's led... really poor & disparaged welcoming.
In conclusion:
This villa has an isolated location, but it has the potential to be a nice place to stay.
The owner must learn some basic rules about fairness, proper disclosure, customer service and interpersonal relations before continuing to serve customers...

Me and my girlfriend booked a stay in Orietta 1 for a week. The appartment is actually above Colonna Del Grillo and not exactly in Castelnuovo Berardenga. The host did not speak English but she has some help in a young lad who spoke english really well. The appartment is clean, nicely furnished and overall really really cool. The exterior is beautiful, the view is amazing. The host provided the pool just as agreed on 1st of May and not a day later. All in all, I can say that the booking was extremely good value for money. The only thing that I've seen for the first time anywhere is that you have to pay for gas that you used at the end, which is kind of weird.
Everything else was just terrific, I would recommend Orietta 1 to everyone. Cheers
