The property is a beautiful old farmhouse, it is more rustic than I was expecting but was overall very nice. The views and location were unbeatable. We loved being able to go into Buonconvento for the store or up to Montalcino for lunch/dinner/wine, about the same distance to both. Also tons of wineries to try right there in the area, we did a tour one day and ventured out and then did one day stopping at two nearby wineries.
I wish we had been a little more aware of what amenities were on site - for example they ask you not to use the inside towels for the pool but there are not pool towels, or there is a BBQ grill but no charcoal or a lighter on site. While the inside of the house is rustic we found the kitchen easy enough to prepare 3 meals in and enjoyed having a large table to eat together nightly. My only other comment (and what proved the most problematic) would be that all the screens on the inside windows have either large gaps at the bottom or holes in the screens, we got ravaged by mosquitoes and ended up spraying down with bug spray nightly before going to sleep. I would definitely rent the house again if just the windows were fixed, the rest is completely tolerable. We got to chat with our neighbors in the apartment below who had been renting this house for 9 years and were prepared with charcoal (which they graciously shared), towels, pool floats, and citronella candles - apparently this is not a new problem :)
Afgelopen week met 4 personen in het huis "La Quiete Nel Vigneto" verbleven. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaresse die na 2 dagen nog even terugkwam om te controleren of alles naar wens was. Huis is (op de keuken na) ruim en alle kamers voorzien van airco wat echt nodig was. Tuin is erg groot en je hebt totale privacy, zelfs het zwembad was groter dan we hadden verwacht. Het gedeelte van het zwembad is omheind en dmv een hekje te bereiken, ideaal als je kinderen of een hond hebt en niet wil dat ze zelf gaan zwemmen. Reistijd naar Cortona of het Trasimeno meer is 15 min, goede uitvalsbasis dus! Al met al een top vakantie gehad, het huis is zeker de moeite waard om naartoe terug te gaan.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Last week we stayed with four people in the house "La Quiete Nel Vigneto". We were warmly welcomed by the owner who briefly came back after two days to make sure everything was okay. House is very spacious (except for the kitchen) and all rooms are air-conditioned which was really needed. Garden is very big and you have total privacy, even the pool was bigger than we expected. The part with the pool is fenced and accessible through a small gate, ideal if you have children or a dog and you don't want them to swim on their own. Travel time to Cortona and the Trasimeno lake is approx 15 min, excellent base! All in all a top holiday, the house is definitely worth going back to.
Mooie klein rustig studiootje, vriendelijke behulpzame mensen. Airco was heel plezierig.
Fraai zwembad, rustige ligging, en door de week heb je het zwembad bijna helemaal voor je zelf.
Buiten het appartement mis je wel en beetje een plek voor jezelf.

Zwembad is bijzonder mooi gelegen. Appartementen ruim en schoon.

Als het rustig mag zijn is deze vakantiewoning ideaal, fantastisch. Wij bewoonden borgonero (fornacino 6). Een ruime woning, voor 2 personen, met mooi uitzicht o.a. op Sienna. Heerlijk zwembad, schaduw door het afdak. Bij wind frisser (ben een koukleum;-) )
Voor ons was het super, één van de betere huisjes...
Enkele bemerkingen? De bedden zijn wat harder, als de ene beweegt wordt de andere wakker geschud (medebewoners beaamden dit), 's nachts rond 4 uur geluid vd watersproeiers. Met slaapkamerramen dicht geen hinder en wel stil.
Voor boodschappen even met de auto tot Sienna (warenhuis COOP, PAM). Bij de PAM vanaf 12 uur gratis parkeren, roltrap tot boven voor bezoek aan Sienna, interessant!
Goede restaurantjes (2) in de buurt (met auto). Geen kruidenier of dorpskern in de nabije omgeving.

A spacious home for 2 people, with a beautiful view of Siena among others. Lovely swimming pool, shaded by the canopy. In the wind even fresher - I'm shivery ;-)
For us it was great, one of the better houses ...
Some remarks? The beds are harder, if one moves, the other may wake up (other renters confirmed this) and at night around four o'clock sound from the water sprinklers but with bedroom windows closed you have no nuisance and silence.
For groceries you can drive to Siena (COOP supermarket, PAM). At the PAM supermarket you can park for free from on noon and take the escalator up to visit the Siena town centre, interesting!
Good restaurants (2) near (by car). No grocery or village in the vicinity.
Prachtige omgeving, zeer goed om tot rust te komen. Het huis is goed, maar koelt 's avonds nauwelijks af waardoor slapen soms moeilijk is. Eigenlijk moet er een airco aanwezig zijn. Zwembad is mooi en al met al een prima ervaring. Eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

would recommend, only downside is linen was only provided once, had to be cleaned ourselves during our stay, I am assuming this is an Italian thing?!
