We were a group of 8 friends who rented the house in the beginning of May and travelled from there to different sightseeings in Tuscany. It is an excellent house on the top a hill with stunning view and friendly owners. It has a large garden with a pool, sundials, Italian herbs, olive trees and vines. In the night you can see the sky full with stars. Nearby, there is wine-maker, a monastery where they make local cheeses and a restaurant. We would surely recommend it as a perfect location for tranquil holidays.
The gracious, attentive service of the hostess, Irene Gren, throughout our stay and the cooking lesson in her home was the highlight of our 16 day vacation in Italy. Her guidance on sights, restaurants and travel were very helpful.
Great place, amusing view from all windows of a house. Very good location in a small village, very close to Florence. Only one downsied while you're coming in first days of May: cold nights you must buy additional "warming service" - thermostate. Nevertheless We spent there a realy nice week.
This is really a lovely house at a fantastic location in the hills overseeing the valley of Lucca. Lots of space, great swimming pool and well maintained property. Whilst there is WiFi, think it would add to the total experience if the TV stations are extended with English language channels. Also the road to the house can be a bit better maintained as quite qa painful experience for the car! But overall, highly recommended.
Prachtig Kasteel in schitterende omgeving. Heel ruim appartement, minder geschikt voor kleine kinderen en mensen die slecht ter been zijn vanwege allerlei op- en afstapjes.
Very nice house-owner lady who is also very fast available if requested. The house itself is located a bit away from the main house where the owner and her family lives, the house has a great view over the valley, it is surrounded by olive trees and wine plants. Inside everything looks nice and works well. Hot water available at any time, heater with gas also. Towels, bed sheets and the like is all available and ready. Within a few minutes by car you can get into a little village, not far away from the next town called Empoli. It is a great place to make trips to florence, pisa, lucca and so on, because they are very easily reachable. However the house is located far away enough from Empoli and the village that you dont feel disturbed by city noises. All in all a place I can recommend for people who want to be away from the crowd (and like it silent during the nights), but get there if wanted fast and easily.
beautiful , family friendly villa, very well equipped and maintained, perfect for summer and good weather ; a bit too far nearest small town Cortona and other places in case it's raining and impossible to be outside
