Die Lage der Villa ist ideal für Ausflüge.Sie hat einen wunderschönen Garten und grossen Pool.Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht.Die Familie ist sehr nett und freundlich,jeden morgen wird der Garten gepflegt und der Pool gereinigt.
Me and my family had the best vacation in Isolina´s villa Le Giare. The villa is superb, the setting is beautiful with views down into the valley up to Cortona. We had such a wonderful week celebrating a birthday in the family. The villa was clean, beautifully furnished, with a well equipped kitchen and a fabulous apartments. The pool and outdoor sitting and dining areas are outstanding. From the beginning, Isolina was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
Lovely, peaceful location. Off the beaten track but not too far to drive to large towns for shopping etc. Very clean and well maintained. Good base for all the touristy bits of Tuscany but the villa itself doesn't feel at all touristy
Een heerlijk huis met prachtige tuin en zwembad. Tuin en zwembad werden elke dag, vroeg in de ochtend, onderhouden. Alleen vervelend dat de airco’s beide kapot bleken te zijn bij aankomst en tijdens verblijf niet gerepareerd konden worden. Dat was een tegenvaller gezien de tropische temperaturen (30+). Daarnaast overlast gehad van werkzaamheden aan de weg langszij het huis.
We really liked the location! The house is old yet modern and the pool was lovely. The cottage is situated on top of a rather steep rise and the road can be quite challenging at times. You might want to take this into consideration when you rent your car. The renter is actually the second floor of a house where also the landlords live. This was no problem, at all, but I had not noticed this piece of information in the advert so it came as a bit of a surprise to us. Please also note the nasty small black bugs that were a bit of a nuisance.
[Counter comment from the owners] "We are sorry to read that the guests may have experienced some difficulty with the access road. We are privileged to own a house on top of a hill, therefore with spectacular views all around. The road is a dirt road, and we would not be allowed to asphalt it as we are in a zone "Unesco World Heritage". During the stay of our guests, a very strong storm slightly damaged the road, but regular attention is given to it so that any type of car could use it without problem (although we would not recommend it for a very low body sport coupé).
Indeed we live on the ground floor, whilst the first floor is absolutely independent. We feel that our presence is essential as we wish to give our guests a personalised welcome upon arrival, and be always available if they need any assistance; furthermore, the pool is a natural one, i.e. which works without any added chlorine (only liquid oxygen) : it is more delicate to run, and therefore requires our daily supervision. Although always available, we tend to be as discreet as possible.
Finally, a large part of the Val d'Orcia experiences this year an invasion of cockroaches which live in the woods or fields, but some try to enter houses : everyday, we spay a costly product to reduce the nuisance."
What a magical place! We were 2 families with kids traveling from NJ and had the best stay at lamore di carla. Each family took one house. Beds were comfortable, place was clean and immaculate, and the kitchen was well equipped. The best part, however, was the pool and the grounds. I was posting my pictures on social media and had 1 million people asking me where I was. I am already looking forward to going back with my extended family. Perfect location, near greve and beautiful property. Cannot recommend enough.
This beautiful villa exceeded our expectations in every way. It was very spacious and clean, and accommodated our family very comfortably. The location is very peaceful and picturesque nestled among a large olive grove. The staff was so kind and welcoming, and provided some delicious meals. We also loved to be able to play tennis and cool off in the huge swimming pool. We loved it all and hope to return again soon. Thank you to Michael, Eva, Titziana and Donnie for a memorable vacation!
Beautiful, mountainous part of Tuscany. La Cascina is a little cramped inside, but lots of outdoor space compensates, and the pool - an above-ground style - is lovely. Magnificent views towards the south. We even got a tour of the main building ( the property is "The Farmhouse", beside the main building ) which was like being in a museum!
Main drawbacks were the wifi didn't work reliably and the roads nearby are very steep and twisty, so every drive took a little longer and required care. With no aircon, the bedrooms got very warm at night, although our visit was at the height of summer.
Also there's a mandatory 100 Euro cash cleaning charge, which is stated in the description but could be easily missed.
