Portion of an old farmhouse with characteristic ceilings with wooden beams and brick arches, situated in a hilly position. The house takes its name from the ancient river 'Clanis', which crossed the Valdichiana and which was dammed during the Roman Empire because its flow of water often caused flooding in the city of Rome. This damming led to the swamping of the Valdichiana, which was reclaimed by Vittorio Fossombroni in the 18th century, and today is a fertile valley rich in cultivated fields, vineyards and olive groves.
The village of Foiano della Chiana, with all kinds of shops and services, is only 2 km away and can also be reached on foot. The house is furnished with typical Tuscan style furniture and fits in perfectly with its construction characteristics.
On one side of the house you will find the garden where you can spend pleasant days swimming in the pool (size 5x10 m - depth 1,20 - 1,50 m) and relaxing on the sunbeds or reading a book in the hammock. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a wooden porch furnished with a table, chairs, a barbecue and a table football, which will be a source of fun for adults and children alike.

GROUND FLOOR: with entrance through the porch equipped with table, chairs, barbecue and table football, (descending 3 steps) kitchen-dining room, wide sitting room with fireplace and sofas, laundry room and wc.
FIRST FLOOR: with access either through internal or external staircase, small study, bedroom with French bed, bathroom with shower, double bedroom with added single bed, double bedroom with wardrobe and private bathroom with shower. From this bedroom, going up a small wooden staircase you reach the attic with sofa and fireplace.

We absolutely loved staying in Casa Clanis. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for the duration of our stay, along with tv, washing machine, and of course the magnificent pool which was large and spacious. Despite all these wonderful features of the house , the best part of out stay was the warm and welcoming owners. They were incredibly helpful with any inquiries we had, and even brought us pastries to enjoy upon our arrival. Our holiday in Tuscany was the best we've had and Casa Clanis played a big part in that !!

We love this place so much. My husband and I have taken our 3 children here for the last 2 years and have booked again for next year. It's wonderfully situated, a beautiful house with beautiful hosts and we find it so relaxing. Perfect
