Walking distance to Lucignano. Ancient stone farmhouse located close to the village of Lucignano which, with its peculiar elliptic shape circumscribed by a perfectly preserved circle of walls, is one of the most interesting examples of medieval town planning. In the village, reachable also on foot with a nice walk on a countryside path around 1,5 km long, there are shops, services and typical, cosy restaurants where to taste the most famous Tuscan dishes. Moreover during the whole year Lucignano is the scene of renowned folk and cultural events.
Immersed among cultivated fields, olives and wood. Il Gorgo is an old manor house which was already mentioned in the historical cartography of the XVII century Valdichiana, when it was part of a wide farm to which it has belonged until recent days. The house is placed inside a wide enclosed property with olive groves, cultivated fields, wood and a small lake. From the large and panoramic garden, where the beautiful swimming pool (size mt. 10x5, depth mt. 1,40-1,60) is situated, we can admire a relaxing view on the neighbouring countryside.
A rustic farmhouse in the typical Tuscan style. The house furnishing, rustic with some original antiques, the vast equipment (satellite tv, CD player, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven) together with a fresh pergola equipped with table and chairs to eat outside, barbecue and wood burning oven, make of Il Gorgo the ideal destination to spend an enchanting and regenerating holiday.

EQUIPMENT: freezer, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, moka coffee maker, filter coffee maker, lemon-squeezer, high chair, satellite TV, CD player, iron and ironing board, fans (2), wood burning oven, Wi-Fi Internet access.

The outdoor area makes this villa. Lovely pool and surrounding patio areas. Plenty of seating and the grounds are private and enormous! The inside is very basic, with a cold running shower in the ground floor wet room. Unfortunately the villa was advertised with a washing machine but no information to advise us the waste pipe is not plumbed in, unlike the water inlet. Thus on our first attempt at using we had water spilling out the back of the machine. We were verbally berated by a cleaner, (happened to be on site) who got the handyman to explain that a hose needed to be attached to the rear of the machine and fed into the toilet or bidet in the wet room. Had we known it would not of been a problem, but my husband had google translate running on his phone and therefore knew exactly the rude racial comments made by the cleaner! It is only due to this incident that we would not return and thankfully our only experience of poor hospitality in all three holidays we have enjoyed in Tuscany.

We loved the beautiful grounds with the flowers, olive trees and grape vines -- so stunning. It was all fenced in yet huge so the kids had tons of safe space to explore and run around. We adored Lucignano and how cute and non-touristy it was. It was a lovely walk there for breakfast each morning

Fantastically located villa in a secluded area, within walking distance to the beautiful walled hilltop town of Lucignano. We were two families staying with children ages 4 – 11 years for two weeks. The villa has plenty of outside space, a large pool with wonderful unspoilt views of the Tuscan countryside and is great for families with kids. The house is a good size, the furniture inside is a little dated but we spent most of our time outside. We found the fridge freezer to be very small for 9 occupants. A house manual would also be useful for local information, how to get to town by foot (there is a short cut that we found), information on restaurants, places to visit, emergency information etc. Despite that, we had a superb time and would definitely visit again.

Vacances inoubliables. Nos 6 garçons "bien vivants" ont pu s'amuser et rire dans la piscine et sur l'immense terrain à disposition sans déranger aucun voisin. La maison est fraîche. Même l'extérieur est pensé pour avoir des endroits ombrages durant toute la journée. Les petits soucis (manque d'eau chaude a l'étage) ont toujours été réglés de suite. Piscine et jardin entretenu tous les 2 jours et draps et linges changes tous les samedis. Village accueillant, très joli... À conseiller...

The villa is very beautifully located with a big yard with great views and a good sized pool for kids that know swimming. The host was helpful. With no heating the house became quite damp after two days of rain. Warm water ceased to work after a few days, but was fixed within one day.

Maison très mal équipée par rapport à son standing. Très mal entretenue. de petits détails qui peuvent s'avérer génants au quotidien :Cafetière HS, pas de bacs à glaçons, pas assez de ventilateurs (2 pour 5 chambres).....

abgelegenes, ruhiges und eingezäuntes Haus für 2 Familien; großer Pool mit großer Wiese (sollten beide in kürzeren Abständen gepflegt werden), Zufahrt relativ flach, auch ohne SUV gut erreichbar!

Very nice place. Close to the city so can walk on the morning to get some espresso from the local bar. The house is good with all the things you need for coking.
