Casa Fanfulla, divided into two comfortable appartments, each with an independent entrance, is located just outside the village of Marciano della Chiana, overlooking the surrounding countryside from a sweet hill. The ancient medieval village still has the watch tower and the mighty fortress walls intact. You can take a short walk into the village every day, go shopping in the small grocery shop, buy fresh bread or just have a coffee.
For those who enjoy trekking or relaxing walks, the surrounding countryside offers countless routes through cultivated fields, olive groves, vineyards and typical rural landscapes that are also suitable for children.
You will have at your disposal, for shared use, a cool enclosed garden equipped with table, chairs and barbecue and the swimming pool (size 5x10 - depth 1.40 m, completely fenced - open from 01st May to 30th September). The apartments have been simply furnished but with every comfort and are each equipped with air conditioning, private parking space and garage (35 m2 each).
Casa Fanfulla is definitely the ideal place for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday, at the slow pace of country life, sitting comfortably by the pool, having dinner with family under the porch or enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sunset from the terrace.
If, on the other hand, you intend to visit the region, Casa Fanfulla can be a good starting point for trips, even daily, to the most beautiful cities of art in central Italy, such as Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Pisa and also Perugia and the area of Lake Trasimeno. All these places are easily reached by car or train.
However, we recommend that you don't forget the small villages dotted around, such as Lucignano, Monte San Savino, Castiglion Fiorentino... which are less well known but offer, in addition to various works of art, churches and monuments, a beautiful insight into daily life in the Tuscan countryside.

Alloggio dotato praticamente di tutto e molto pulito. Piscina tenuta perfettamente. La presenza del garage é risultata molto utile. La casa è un ottimo punto di partenza per varie mete.

Wir waren als 4-köpfige Familie im Casa Fanfulla. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Wohnung ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet, hat Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmern. Supergünstig war auch das zweite Bad, eins für die Kids, eins für uns Eltern. Alles sehr sauber. Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und mega nett und bemüht sich wirklich um seine Gäste. Sogar einmal Handtuch und Bettwäsche-Wechsel war inbegriffen. Das Highlight bildete der Pool. Dieser wurde jeden Abend gereinigt. Alles war in bester Ordnung. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter.

Appartamento molto carino, pulito e spazioso… ottima posizione tranquilla,in un ora si raggiungono delle città molto belle( Siena Montalcino Montepulciano…Assisi… ecc. ecc… posto auto esterno un po’ piccolo ma in compenso c’è un garage molto spazioso…. Siamo stati bene

Be prepared to climb many steps up to the villa! But worth it for the stunning views from the first-floor balcony; one of the highlights of the holiday was waking each day and being greeted with the warm sun and the balcony view.
A car is essential to explore the surrounding area; however parking at the villa could be a little tricky at times, depending on the number of other vehicles there.
In Marciano della Chiana we particularly enjoyed the Vivian Bar, just two minutes walk away, which we visited every day, and the Osteria La Vecchia Rota.

We had a very nice time in Rocca flat. The kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed a lot the garden and the pool. The owner is a very nice and helpful person. It was a good choice staying here. We can only recommend.

Wir waren mit der FeWo sehr zufrieden, sauber, alles gut in Schuss. Auch der Vermieter war sehr hilfsbereit. Allerdings liegt die FeWo in einem kleinen Dorf, somit ist es hier sehr ruhig und beschaulich, aber wer das so will wie wir ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Bruit des chiens ( nuit ) et bruit de la pompe à eau situé dans le garage au rdc, l'appartement se situe au 1er avec un autre appartement au 2 e. Quand ces derniers tirent de l'eau, la pompe sous notre appartement se met en route avec le bruit conséquent .
Heureusement, ces locataires étaient tres discrets.
C'est le locataire ( parlant mal anglais )qui remet les clés et gère la caution, mais il y a une agence locale qui parle français
Appartement tres bien equipé ( ustensiles cuisine).

Noise of dogs (night) and sound of the water pump located in the garage on the ground floor, the apartment is on the 1st floor, with another apartment on the 2nd floor. When they draw water, the pump under our apartment starts with the consequent noise. Fortunately, these tenants were very discreet.
It is the owner (speaking poor English) who hands over the keys and manages the deposit, but there is a local agency that speaks French.
