This farmhouse is located in the countryside near Lucca, in an area named “Arsina”, famous for its wine. Its unique position allows the guests to enjoy a superb view, while only 15 minutes away from the centre of town. The interiors have been painted in light colors, are comfortably furnished and preserve a distinctive Tuscan style with typical ceilings of wooden beams and traditional cotto tiled floors. The high location of the house, its efficient insulation, and the ceiling fans, installed in most of the bedrooms, ensure that the temperature at La Rocca remains comfortable even during the hottest nights of the Summer. Outdoor meals can be enjoyed on a gracious terrace, furnished for al fresco dining, looking over the surrounding valleys and hills. From the swimming pool, located on a level just above the house, stunning views can be appreciated both during the day and at night. The location of La Rocca makes it an ideal base for guests who wish to combine a relaxing holiday in the Tuscan countryside with the possibility to enjoy day trips to the near cities of art, such as Florence, Siena and Pisa; nevertheless, the Versilian endless coast, with its night clubs and restaurants, is only half an hour away. For those who enjoy playing tennis, there is a court at only a 10 minute drive away from the property. The last part of the road leading to La Rocca is curvy and unpaved, not suitable for vans.

Villa La Rocca was a perfect vacation. We brought our teenage daughters and had several friends come and stay with us. We made dinners, drank wine and just hung out. The location is very central and the view is spectacular. Lucca is a lovely city, so don't forget to visit. The house was clean and met all of our needs, so we were very comfortable spending lots of time there.

Great house and a high level of service from the rentals on location. Wonderful view from pool area. No ability to take a walk with stroller if you have children.

This is a lovely villa and very well fitted out. It is pretty much how I imagined a Tuscan villa would be. The villa is situated high on a steep hillside, so giving excellent views of the valley in which Lucca and other towns / villages are located. The pool area is beautiful And also provides excellent valley views. Would have loved to stay longer than a week. The official description as being 7 kms from Lucca is correct but visitors need to be advised that a car is essential. There is some steep and procarious driving in the final approaches up the hillside to the villa My only criticism is having to find 1,000 Euros in cash for the bond to be paid on arrival. This is a lot of foreign currency to be left with at the end of your holiday for which we must pay the conversion fee. A credit card imprint would be a much better solution.
